projects.South Boulder Reno and Staging

This 1960 vintage South Boulder home needed more than a simple reno after being rented for 6 years.

All rooms received a new coat of paint, new carpet and “Coit” was brought in to resurface the porcelains in all bathrooms, hall and kitchen. To keep in the flavor of the home, the kitchen cabinets were repaired and the old hardware was replaced with new. New appliances were added to step up the image. The new sleek Grohe faucet also added to the fresh look. New ceiling fans were added to the living room and the master bedroom. The George Nelson Cigar ceiling fixture at the entrance was right on key for this home. The existing Hunter Douglass window features were cleaned and repaired – a free service offered by HD. Known as the Deck House, this home has 3 decks – all of which were demolished and replaced with completely new decks. To finish it off, all trees were trimmed and the landscaping groomed professionally. All rooms were then staged to present a show time feel…..Sound like a lot of work? Yes, it was. Cost was about 30K. Result? This home sold in 9 days. The selling price was 100K over the price quoted the previous year before the Reno. Time to find another house to flip?
